In Memory of Hella Moritz

The leadership of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress has received the news of the passing of Hella Moritz with great grief.
The fire of her charisma kept several generations of World Jewish Congress leaders and workers warm. Her name, face, and gesture always appeared anywhere the Jewish initiative of the world had consolidated. She was partial to the works of the WJC founders, and the current rhythm of the world Jewish center in unthinkable without her.
Her Jewish selflessness, professional responsibility, exceptional workability, sisterly interest, and motherly hospitality made the main office of the World Jewish Congress a welcoming home to all. We not only received information from her, but a real acknowledgment that we are needed, the importance of those Jewish problems and propositions with which we turned to the World Jewish Congress.
She spoke with all Jewish communities in their own language. Her scintillating humor and remarkable knowledgeableness, her complete immersion in Jewish activities and unreserved devotion to Jewish values make Hella's life a true example of service to the Jewish people and the state of Israel.
All of us who know her have become orphaned tonight. We shall never forget Hella Moritz, the guardian angel of the World Jewish Congress. We deeply feel for all her colleagues and co-workers. We grieve together with the family and friends of Hella. We pray to the Almighty to send a last consolation to all who were close to her.
