                  The Euro-Asian Jewish Congress and the Russian Jewish Congress are the general sponsors of the Jewish Book Festival, which will take place on November 21-22 in the Beloselsky-Belozersky Palace in St. Petersburg. The exposition and fair will present Jewish books in Russian, which were published in Israel, Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova, and Latvia.
                  The festival will also host an exhibition titles “S. M. Dubnov (1860-1941), celebrating 150 years from the birth of the important Jewish historian.
                  The program also inclues a meeting with the famous St. Petersburg writer Elena Chizhova, a laureate of the “Booker-Open Russia Literary Prize -09,” who will present her sensational novel “Half-blood”.
                  Translator Igor Bulatovsky and other members of a unique publishing project will present the “Bukvotsvet” book of poetry – the first Russian edition of a book by the great Jewish poet Abraham Sutzkever (1913-2010).
                  The Moscow “jester and wandering scholar” Psoy Korolenko and the American-German radical punk-chansonnier Daniel Kahn will present their new program “Unternational” – Jewish sing political folklore of the XXth century in a modern context
                  The festival will also host Timur Fishel (Tallinn), and the bands “Vorspiel” (Riga) and “Kle Zemer” (St. Petersburg).
