                  EAJC Sponsors “What? Where? When?” Competition in Eilat

                  On the 11th of November, the international "What? When? Where?" competition, "Znatokiada-2010," opened in Eilat. This yearly even is organized by the Israel Center of Intellectual Clubs (ICIC) together with the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress (EAJC), of which the latter is the general sponsor of the championship. As ICIC Vice President Vladislav Goverdovsky said, "EAJC President Alexander Machkevitch not only decided to support our project financially. He also supports our ideas and values aimed at establishing tolerance and international dialogue between different peoples." The EAJC also delegated its own team of experts to the championship.
                  This year over 600 experts from 80 teams are participating in the championship, of which 300 come from Russia, Ukraine, Belarus. Moldova, the USA. Canada, Germany, Great Britain, Finland, the Baltic countries, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, and other countries, and 300 hail from Israel. The opening of the championship took place in the "Club Hotel" hotel, and began with the "Friendship Cup," which included questions on nuances of different cultures. EAJC General Council chairman Josef Zisels spoke on behalf of the EAJC before the "Friendship Cup."
