Opening of the monument

EAJC Contributes to Holocaust Memorial

On the 7^th of November, a monument was erected in Marinopol village (Galitsky region of the Ivano-Frankivsk oblast, Ukraine) in memory of the local Jewish community, which was destroyed by the Nazis during 1941-1945. The monument was erected in place of the ruined Jewish cemetery with the aid of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress. The author of the project was sculptor Vasily Mikolayevich Vilshyuk. The official opening ceremony included a public rally.
