On the 22nd of September, a presentation of the six-volume collected works by Miroslav Marinovich took place in the Oldacademic building of the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy. Miroslav Marinovich is a famous Ukrainian scholar and human rights activist, a Gulag prisoner of many years, President of the Ukrainian International PEN section, and Pro-Rector of the Ukrainian Catholic University. The edition includes works written and published over the last 35 years. As the Rector of the Ukrainian Catholic University, Father Boris Gudzyak noted, "This is probably the most substantial edition ever published by the Ukrainian Catholic University."
The Euro-Asian Jewish Congress (EAJC) and EAJC General Council Chairman Josef Zisels were sponsors of the edition.
When speaking before the Academy students, scholars, journalists, and veteran human rights activists, Miroslav Marinovich talked about what inspired him to collect and publish works of different years. He touched on many topics, including moral dilemmas that each of us faces in these complex times for our country, the necessity to understand the unredeemed crimes of Communism that drag us back to the past, and understanding our destiny on this Earth and that which we must fight for.
