The Jewish community of Tver oblast has sent a letter of gratitude to the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress (EAJC) for the help it had received in restoring the building of the synagogue, which was damaged in the terroristic act in the early hours of June 21, 2010.

In particular, the letter read, “We cannot find words to fully express our gratitude for your sympathy, support, and help to the Tver Jewish community during these difficult times, when our regular community life was disrupted by the actions of extremist miscreants.

We felt that we are not alone, that we are surrounded and supported by people that are of one creed with us.
We would like to assure you that we shall continue the task we have begun, the task of preserving history and the restoration of Jewish traditions in the memory of generations.”
