The Days of Israel in Ukraine have taken place on the premises of the "Mystetsky Arsenal" (Art Arsenal) museum complex. Various officials spoke at the opening of the festival, including the Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister for Humanitarian Affairs Vladimir Seminozhenko, Mayor of Kyiv Leonid Chernovetsky, and Ambassador of the State of Israel in Kiev Zina Kalai-Kleitman.A huge installation of an Israeli city street had been placed in a huge pavillion on museum premises. The street included everything from shops and galleries surrounded by benches, street advertising and lights, to cafes and bars with their summer terraces, to theaters and movie theaters. A university campus is also present, as well as a central square with an open-air stage for popular artists. The museum hosted many events aimed to strengthen friendship and cooperation between the two countries, and to show Kyivites and guests of the Ukrainian capital Israeli achievements in culture, science, and technology.
The Euro-Asian Jewish Congress is one of the organizators of Israel Days in Ukraine.
