The Kyiv office of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress (EAJC) was visited by Rabbi Andrew Baker, the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe Personal Representative on Combating Anti-Semitism and American Jewish Committee Director on International Relations. Rabbi Baker had a number of meetings and negotiations on EAJC premises.
In particular, Director of the Center of Jewish Education of Ukraine Yana Yanover told the guest about the "Lo Tishkach" project, dedicated to describing and restoring Jewish cemeteries and mass graves of Holocaust victims in Ukraine.
EAJC General Council member Vyacheslav Likhachev discussed with Rabbi Baker the problem of anti-Semitism in Ukraine, countries of Eastern Europe and the FSU. The Rabbi, as a representative of the AJC (an organization with a long-standing partnership with the EAJC) evaluated the Congress' efforts to monitor and combat anti-Semitism highly.
