Visit of the Delegation of the Jewish Institute for National Security Affairs

Visit to Ukraine of the delegation of the Jewish Institute for National Security Affairs, headed by its director, deputy editor of “The International Journal on Security" Jim Colbert, started with a dinner together with the representatives of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress (EAJC). Member of the EAJC General Council Vyacheslav Likhachevspoke to the guests about the activities of the Congress in the post-soviet countries, Jewish community life in Ukraine and the problems in Ukrainian-Jewish relations today and in historical retrospective. Of particular interest was the discussion of the current situation with anti-semitism in Ukraine and the expectations of the Jewish community in connection with the new president of the country.
Representatives of the Jewish Institute for National Security Affairs were presented with the EAJC materials in English - "Euro-Asian Jewish Yearbook”, reports on anti-Semitism in countries withEAJC communities, and materials on monitoring xenophobia cases in Ukraine. During the meeting both sides agreed to strengthen cooperation between the organizations.
