March, 15-16. The Euro-Asian Jewish Congress (EAJC) President Alexander Mashkevitch met with President of Israel Shimon Peres, Prime-Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Minister of Foreign Affairs Avigdor Liberman, and Minister of National Infrastructures Benjamin Ben-Eliezer during a visit to Jerusalem.
Several issues were discussed in detail, including the international situation of Israel, relations between the Jewish state and the Diaspora, and the dialogue of civilizations.
The EAJC leader also had a meeting with President of Brazil Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, who was in Israel on an official visit. They discussed various models of tolerance and the life of the Jewish community in Brazil.
