                  EAJC Representative in Israel Appointed

                  On the 2nd of December, the famous Israeli-Russian community and religious activist Haim ben Yakov was appointed as the official representative of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress (EAJC) in Israel. He will represent the Congress in Israel at national institutions and international Jewish organizations.

                  In practice, Haim ben Yakov will be the deputy of the EAJC Secretary General Michael Chlenov, in particular, when working with such organizations as the World Jewish Congress (Israel division) and the entire system of Zionist organizations (such as the Jewish National Fund Keren Kayemeth LeIsrael, Jewish Agency for Israel (JAFI), the World Zionist Organization, Keren Hayesod – United Israel Appeal). Negotiations are being held to open the EAJC Israeli office as part of the World Jewish Congress office.
                   
                  For the first time Haim ben Yakov made a public speech in his new capacity during the Global Forum on Combating Anti-Semitism, organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Israelm which took place on the 16-17th of December in Jerusalem.
                   
                  The new EAJC Deputy Secretary General is 39 years old. Until recently, he headed the JAFI Moscow department, and earlier led the Union of Congregation For Modern Judaism in Russia (OROSIR).
