The Euro-Asian Jewish Congress Grieves over Death of Yegor Gaidar
16.12.2009 It is with deep sorrow that the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress (EAJC) received the news of the timeless death of Yegor Timurovich Gaidar.
His life and actions are an example of true selfless devotion by an earnest patriot who took the difficult task of reforming his country into his own hands. History will always remember the time when Yegor Timurovich led the youngest government of new Russia as “the Gaidar reforms.”
The liberal reforms by Gaidar and his team changed the countries of the former Soviet Union, and became the base for a further transformation.
We grieve together with the family and friends of Yegor Timurovich, and ask the Almighty to alleviate their sorrow.
