HANUKKAH SAMEAH!

On behalf of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress, I wish you happy Hanukkah – the holiday of Light and Freedom!
Centuries ago, the Jewish tradition triumphed over paganism and disbelief, the moral stability of our people won over assimilation and conformism. We celebrate Hannukah as a victory of light over darkness, good over evil, spirit over matter.
Hannukah is the holiday of lucent hope, because it reminds us that even in the darkest days a Holy Miracle may happen. And then the few will overpower the many, the lesser will become higher than the greater, and a tiny bit of oil will burn in a lamp for eight entire days.
Every day of Hanukkah we add one candle to the holiday candelabrum, and in the light of the Hannukah fires we see our Jewish mission better. So let our good deeds grow from day to day, as Hannukah fires do!
