                  Member of EAJC General Council Takes Part in ECRI Round Table With Report on Anti-Semitism

                  In the Large Conference Hall of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, in Kyiv, a Round Table organized by the European Committee Against Racism and Intolerance (ECRI) took place. Among the participants in the work of the Round Table were European and Ukrainian researchers, human rights activists, leaders of Jewish community structures and other unions of national minorities, representatives of the law and all branched of Ukrainian power. Representatives of the ECRI listened to the reports of Ukrainian experts in the sphere of countering racism, xenophobia, anti-Semitism, and all forms of discrimination and hate crimes. The moderator of the Round Rable was the authorized representative on human rights from the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Nina Karpacheva.
                  The Euro-Asian Jewish Congress General Council member, editor of the annual EAJC report "Anti-Semitism in Australia and Euro-Asia" Vyacheslav Likhachev participated in the Round Table at the organizators' request with a report on the situation with anti-Semitism in Ukraine and neighbouring countries.
