Meeting of the Organizational commitee on Preparation of Anniversary Events in Riga commences in Moscow

A meeting of the Organizational committee on preparation of the anniversary Round Table took place in the Moscow office of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress. The Round Table is to take place in Riga at the end of May 2009. Among the participants were the EAJC Secretary General Michael Chlenov, Chairman of the EAJC General Council Joseph Zisels, Head of the Public Relations Department Roman Spector, and Vladimir Paley. The participants of the meeting discussed various aspects of the preparation and conduction of the Round Table dedicated to the anniversary of the first legal meeting of Jewish activists in the USSR, which took place in May 1989. This was the original Pan-USSR Round Table "Problems of Soviet Jewry."
