Meeting with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine

On the 9th of January, a meeting was held in the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which involved the Chairman of the General Council of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress, Chairman of the Vaad of Ukraine, Josef Zisels, and the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Alexander Gorin. The participants of the meeting exchanged opinions on the situation in the Middle East, the dynamics of antisemitism and xenophobia in Ukraine, the role of Ukraine within GUAM concerning the removal of the Jackson-Vanik amendment, the election of a Ukrainian judge into the European Court of Human Rights. Josef Zisels drew of the attention of the MFA representatives to the one-sided and nonobjective approach of the MFA's comments on Israel's antiterroristic operation in the Gaza sector.
