The reception of the Parliamentary club.

Euro-Asian Jewish Congress (EAJC) Secretary General, President of the Federal Jewish National and Cultural Autonomy of the Russian Federation Mikhail Chlenov gave a speech at the solemn reception hosted by the President of the World Congress of Russian Jewry (WCRJ) Boris Spiegel.
The reception was given in the Moscow hotel "Metropol" to greet the Moscow session of the Parliamentary club which was established by the WCRJ this year. Delegations of Euro-Asian Jewish Congress, Federation of the Jewish Communities of Russia, Jewish Agency in Russia, the Joint Foundation, and representatives of the American Jewish Committee and Embassies of Israel, the USA, and Germany visited the event.
The Club's agenda included the necessity of raising the role of the Russian language and promoting its studies in the countries where the Russian Jewry lives, as one of major issues.
The participants were greeted by the RF Council of Federation vice-speaker Alexander Torshin, the State Duma deputy Leonid Slutsky, Ambassador of Latvia to Russia Andris Teikmanis, former Knesset deputy Yuli Edelstein, Knesset deputy Marina Solodkina, deputy of the Seym of Latvia Boris Tsilevich and others.
