Election of the City Head of Ekaterinburg / EAJC participation.

Electors' meetings dedicated to the nomination of candidates for the City Head were held in Ekaterinburg. National and cultural autonomies and organizations of the city had their assembly on the 10th of January in the Sverdlovsk House of Peace and Friendship.
The electors' Meeting chairman, Euro-Asian Jewish Congress (EAJC) General Council member, Jewish National and Cultural Autonomy of the Sverdlovsk Region President Mikhail Oshtrah spoke about the work of Arkady Chernetsky. Mr. Oshtrah marked positive changes in the city during Mr. Chernetsky's years as City Head and cooperation with non-governmental organizations including national and cultural ones. Oshtrah was suppored by the leaders of Azerbaijanian, Armenian, Tartarian, Bashkir, German, Ukrainian, Ossetian national and cultural organizations.
The meeting unanimously decided to nominate A.Chernetsky for election of the Ekaterinburg Head on the elections of the March 2, and sent the Minutes of the meeting to the electoral commission.
