EAJC Secretary General Visit to Israel.

In July 2007, Euro-Asian Jewish Congress (EAJC) Secretary General, Vaad of Russia President Michael Chlenov visited Israel. In Jerusalem, the capital of the Jewish state, he participated in the International Conference on the Future of the Jewish People, which was officially opened by the Prime-Minister of Israel Ehud Olmert.
EAJC Secretary General made a report on "Jewry in the former Soviet Union", and later discussed the issues he approached with the President of Israel Shimon Peres.
Then Prof. Chlenov was received by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the State of Israel Piotr Stegniy. They discussed status of Russian citizens, living permanently in Israel, and collaboration between EAJC and Russian diplomatic missions.
Apart from meeting with official establishment, EAJC Secretary General got acquainted with activities of some Israeli scientific and educational institutes and reached agreement with their leaders on possible mutual projects.
