"Jewish Organizations and Missionary Work" Seminar.

Two-day seminar "Jewish Organizations and Missionary Work" organized by MAGEN League in cooperation with AJJDC Urals Affiliate (Regional Director - Joseph Shuster) completed its work in Ekaterinburg, Sverdlovsk Region of Russia, on March 30, 2005.
Participants in the seminar were leaders of Jewish communities and organizations, Hesed directors, social workers, AJJDC representatives from Ekaterinburg and 9 other cities of the Russia Urals Federal District. During the seminar the participants learnt the peculiarities of the missionary work with Jews, analyzed main methods and arguments of missionary propaganda, mastered ways to oppose it.
MAGEN League President Alexander Lakshin taught the seminar. The Euro-Asian Jewish Congress (EAJC) General Council Member, the Jewish National-Cultural Autonomy of Sverdlovsk Region President Michael Oshtrakh presented his report on "Tolerance and Missionary Work among Jews".
