Congratulation of Euro-Asian Jewish Congress (EAJC) Leaders on Sukkot.

                  29.09.2004

                  Dear colleagues and friends!
On behalf of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress (EAJC) we wish you happy Sukkot!
The day of Sukkot means end of harvesting season for Jewish people. It unites the gifts of nature, which feed the body, and creative mental work, bringing wisdom, peace and consent.
Eurasian Jewry has achieved remarkable harvest of positive accomplishments: strengthening of ties between Israel and the Diaspora, realization of programs to prevent xenophobia and anti-Semitism, construction of new synagogues and development of community life, considerable intensification of dialogue with people practicing Islam, Christianity, and other global and traditional national religions.
There is a Jewish tradition to make sukkah huts on Sukkot days and taste daily bread in memory of thorny path of Israeli people to freedom and justice.
So, let firm threads of dialogue and good deeds not allow breaking up any of holiday sukkahs and turn them into boundless treasuries of peace and consent for Jewry and the whole humanity.
