 Alexander Machkevich, President of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress, congratulated E. Chervonenko, EAJC Vice-President, on his election as First Vice-President of the United Jewish Community of Ukraine (UJCU) - one of the republic's largest Jewish organizations.
"The fact that Eugene Chervonenko was elected to this high position of such responsibility, is indisputable confirmation of his merits in working to revive community life and consolidate Ukrainian Judaism", the EAJC President declared.
Mr. Machkevich wished Mr. Chervonenko continued successful work as Vice-President of the EAJC and UJCU, and also hoped for further integration of the Jewish Diaspora, both in Ukraine, and throughout the Euro-Asian region.
