                  On Jan. 26, 2004, a Conference of Russia's rabbis called "Synagogue. People. Moral." took place in Moscow.

                  SYNAGOGUE. PEOPLE. MORAL – CONFERENCE OF RUSSIAN RABBIS TO BE HELD IN MOSCOW

                  Adolf ShaevichAdolf Shaevich, vice president of the Rabbinical Council of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress (EAJC) and chief rabbi of Russia, said that the conference was scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. in the Memorial Synagogue at Poklonnaya Mountain.
                  The conference was carried out under the auspices of the Congress of Jewish Religious Organizations and Unions of Russia (CJROUR) and the Federation of Orthodox Jews of Russia (FOJR).
                  Participants of the conference included: Adolf Shaevich, secretary general of the Rabbinical Council of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress (EAJC), Pinchas Goldschmidt, the chief rabbi of Moscow, and other members of the EAJC Rabbinical Council - rabbis representing Russia's regions, members of the CJROUR, FOJR, autonomous Orthodox and Chassidic congregations, representatives of the Jewish public and numerous guests.
