The basic demographic and identification tendencies of Jewish people.
19.11.2002 From November 30 till December 3 the International Conference on Jewish Demography will take place in Jerusalem. The Conference is organized by the "Initiative on the Jewish Demography" at the Jewish Agency for Israel (Sokhnut) together with the Institute of Modern Jewry and Institute of a Planning the Jewish Nation (the Jewish University in Jerusalem).
At conference it is supposed to consider the following questions:
Modern demographic situation and prospects of Jewish people in Latin America, the East Europe and in the states of the former Soviet Union;
The basic demographic and identification tendencies of Jewish people;
Global and regional policy of development.
The General Council Chairman of Euro-Asian Jewish Congress, Joseph Zisels, will submit to participants of the Conference the data on the Jewish demography in Ukraine, emigration to the countries of the world and repatriation to Israel.
