Meeting of EAJC Administration and the Council of EAJC Rabbis with the chief rabbis of Israel.
23.10.2002 The I-st International Conference of Euro-Asian Rabbis (started on 21st of October, 2002 in Kazakhstan) continued its work in Jerusalem.
Participants of Conference have visited the Chief Rabbis of Israel: I.Lau and E.Bakshi-Doron. After this meeting the structure and management of the Council of EAJC Rabbis have been finally coordinated.
The Chief Rabbi of Kazakhstan E.Kogen has been elected to be the Chairman of the Council of Rabbis. The Chief Rabbi of Russia A. Shaevich became the Vice-President.
The Chief Rabbi of Moscow P.Goldshmidt has been authorized to be the Secretary General of the Council of EAJC Rabbis. The post of the General Director of the Council of EAJC Rabbis has been trusted to the Chief Rabbi of Ukraine Y.Bleich.
After the Conference completion, in the evening on October 23, the President of EAJC Alexander Mashkevich has given a celebratory supper in the hotel “Ramada Renaissance” where the heads of the World Congress of Russian-speaking Jews (WCRJ), taking place in Jerusalem, have been invited.
