The I-st International Conference of Rabbis of Euro-Asia took place in Kazakhstan and Israel.

Under the initiative of the President of Euro-Asian Jewish Congress (EAJC), Alexander Mashkevich, the I-st International Conference of Rabbis of Euro-Asia was held in Kazakhstan and Israel during October 21-23, 2002.
Among rabbis participated in the conference there were representatives of many countries all over the world, including England, France, Israel, Switzerland, Austria, Ukraine, Russia, Kazakhstan, India, Philippines, Australia and others.
The opening ceremony was started with the joint prayer in synagogue of Almaty (Kazakhstan) and visit to the graves of father Lyubachevskiy Rebe and of L.I.Shneyerson.
The EAJC President Alexander Mashkevich, EAJC Secretary General Mikhail Chlenov, General Council Chairman Joseph Zisels and other members of EAJC General Council participated in the Conference together with rabbis.
