sraeli Prime Minister Netanyahu said that the Palestinians must stop the incitement, in a meeting with visiting Italian Foreign Minister Angelino Alfan.

He also asked Italy to oppose the next vote at the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organizations (UNESCO), in a reference to the vote of a resolution that ignores Jewish ties to Jerusalem’s Temple Mount. that will likely continue to come before the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organizations (UNESCO) boards and committees.

Last year, the UNESCO Executive Board passed a resolution on Jerusalem at both sessions that did not use the phrase Temple Mount, to refer to Judaism’s holiest religious site. Italy abstained.

Netanyahu and Alfano expressed their deep appreciation for the state of bilateral relations and stressed their intention to expand cooperation between the two countries.

They discussed the possibility of widening bilateral economic cooperation in Africa in order to assist African countries in finding solutions to water, agricultural and other problems.

The Italian Foreign Minister Alfano emphasized his obligation to defend the Italian Jewish community against incidents of anti-Semitism.
