04.08.2016, Anti-Semitism An Israeli woman was lightly wounded in a deadly stabbing attack that occurred Wednesday night in London.
The rampage attack by a man with a knife took place at Russel Square, a park close to the British Museum, in Central London.
An American woman in her 60s was killed and several more wounded in the attack.
The attacker was neutralized when police tasered him.
The 19-year-old attacker suffers from mental issues, but a terror-related motive for the attack has not been ruled out.
"The attackers mental health plays a big part in the investigation of the incident, but the possibility that this was an act of terror has not yet been taken off the table," said police.
The terrorist attack threat level in Britain remains at "severe," the second-highest level, meaning a strike is "highly likely."
Police had already promised to deploy more armed officers in the capital after a spate of deadly attacks in France, Germany and Belgium.
