LONDON (EJP)---The Labour party will investigate after dozens of anti-Semitic messages were sent to non-Jewish MPs who have criticised party leadership candidate Jeremy Corbyn, The Jewish Chronicle reported.

John Mann, chairman of the All-Party Parliamentary Group Against Anti-Semitism, said he had received more than 40 abusive emails and tweets in the past six weeks.

They referred to him as “utter filth” and a “Zionist stooge”.

Mann has been vocal in his opposition to Corbyn’s campaign to lead the party. He claimed the attacks have been coming from supporters of Corbyn, re-tweeting a number of messages suggesting the veteran MP was under the auspices of Israeli influence.

Mann went on to say that other MP's have received similar messages, including Jewish party members being accused of split loyalties between the UK and Israel, The Jewish Chronicle added.

“I have very serious concerns about Jeremy Corbyn’s supporters,” Mann said in an interview with the Sunday Press. “I’ve received some vicious anti-Semitic abuse... I have been described as a servant of the Israeli Prime Minister, a Nazi Zionist, a Zionist scumbag. This is all because I chair the All-Party Parliamentary Group Against Anti-Semitism.”

Mann claimed that many of those sending the hateful emails have openly expressed their support of Corbyn.

Corbyn said last week that there “should not be any anti-Semitic, Islamophobic or racist slogans or banners at any demonstration, ever.”

Corbyn in the past has called terrorist organizations such as Hamas and Hezbollah "friends."
