Lauder condemns ‘barbaric attack which represents the worst that humanity is capable of’
03.08.2015, Israel and the World “This barbaric attack represents the worst that humanity is capable of. On behalf of the World Jewish Congress and the 100 Jewish communities we represent, I would like to join the government and people of Israel in condemning the attack. This crime was, in no uncertain terms, an act of terror,” said WJC President Ronald S.Lauder in condemning the arson attack against Palestinian houses in the West Bank in which a toddler was killed and three other people injured.
Lauder extended his condolences to the Dawabsha family and called on Israeli authorities to bring the terrorists to justice, adding: “The Jewish people and the State of Israel cannot allow for this sort of evil to exist – and we should do everything in our power to make sure it does not happen again.”
The Hebrew words “Revenge” and “Long live the king messiah” were reportedly found next to a Star of David spray-painted near the site of the arson.
