Jewish students were targeted by anti-Israel activists from the BDS (Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions) who have shouted anti-Semitic slogans at the Brussels Free University.
As the Jewish students were observing the set up of a symbolic so-called ‘’Wall of Occupation’’ in the middle of the campus, the BDS students started shouting ‘’Zionists, fascists, you’re terrorists at them.’’
The Belgian League Against Anti-Semitism said it would file a legal complaint.
'This is an anti-Semitic attack. We have the right to disagree with Israeli policies but by their insults BDS activists stuck a virtual yellow star on the back of Jewish students, making them a target and delivering them to the mob. We ask the academic authorities of the ULB to take responsibility and to exclude the BDS from the university, '' it said.
The Union of Belgian Jewish Students (UEJB) denounced the anti-Semitic climate of hatred that BDS maintain on the campus under cover 'anti-Zionism'.
Earlier this week, the LBCA urged another Brussels university to cancel the invitation of a representative of a Palestinian group that the European Union considers a terrorist entity.
