Israel to help open rehabilitation center for ATO soldiers in Kiev
05.03.2015 At the V. TS. Guk treatment and rehabilitation center in Kiev, a new medical complex for ATO soldiers is planned.
To discuss the issue of opening the center in Kiev, a meeting was held between mayor Vitaly Klichko, the Israeli ambassador to Ukraine Yeliav Belotserkovsky, the honorary consul of Israel Oleg Vishnyakov, representative of the World Health Organization in Ukraine Dorit Nitzan and the deputy mayor of Kiev for social issues Mikhail Radutsky.
Israeli specialists will not only help to treat soldiers, but will also share their experience of working with people who have returned from warzones. Additionally, master classes, seminars and practical lessons for Ukrainian psychologists and emergency physicians are planned at the center.
According to the representative of WHO in Ukraine Dorit Nitzan, leading Israeli specialists from the “Levinshtein” rehabilitation center and the medical center “Tekl ha-Shomer” are prepared to provide their assistance to Ukrainian colleagues in the near future.
Kiev mayor Vitaly Klichko will soon examine the possibility of allocating funds to reequip the center.
The honorary consul of Israel Oleg Vishnyakov said that the opening of the center should take place in the near future, so all the parties would put maximum efforts into making the project a reality.
