Israel on the French parliament vote on recognizing a Palestinian state: It will make Palestinian position more extreme

Israel said that Tuesday’s vote of the French parliament's vote in favour of recognising Palestine as a state will '’harm the peace process.’’
France's lower house of Parliament voted 339 to 151 to call on the government to recognise a Palestinian state.
                  The vote is non-binding.
The Israeli foreign ministry’s spokesman, Emmanul Nahshon said: “Israel believes the vote in the National Assembly, which supports recognition of the state of Palestine, will only distance the chances of reaching an agreement between Israel and the Palestinians.”
“Such decisions will only make the Palestinian positions more extreme and sends the wrong message to the leaders and peoples of this region,” he said.
Israel says that a solution to the conflict will only be found through direct negotiations between the two parties and not through unilateral actions.
