                  EAJC president Rosh Hashanah congratulations

                  23.09.2014

                  Dear friends!
On behalf of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress I warmly congratulate all Jews, wherever they live, with the advent of the New Year 5775 on the Jewish calendar!
This past year was not easy for the Jewish people and the Jewish state, however, in our history has never been easygoing years. In the Land of Israel once again shells exploded and blood flowed; in several European countries the turbid wave of anti-Semitism raised and violent attacks on Jews committed once again; anti-Jewish slogans were used again in the political rhetoric. But this year also showed that in the face of difficult challenges, Jews around the world can come together and loudly express their solidarity with their brethren, were under threat. In 5774, active community building continued in the countries of the Euro-Asian region, new communities were created, demonstrating the desire of Jews created new communities, demonstrating the desire of Jews to unite, revive and preserve national traditions.
I sincerely hope that the coming year will bring prosperity to communities within the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress. Together we can confront emerging threats, preserve what has been done, correct what needs correcting, and reach new heights. Last year, we were joined by new communities, and I am sure that their members will be able to verify the correctness of this step.
I wish the New Year helped all of us to realize our plans and to complete what needs to be completed.
I wish you peace, happiness and prosperity. A good and sweet year!
                  Shana Tova umetuka!

                  Julius MEINL,
                  EAJC President
