The European Union on Wednesday condemned the killing of a Palestinian boy in Jerusalem.
‘ We condemn in the strongest terms the killing of a Palestinian boy in Jerusalem’’, says a statement published by EU foreign policy Catherine Ashton’s office.
‘’We express our sincere condolences to his family and friends and share their grief. The perpetrators of this act must be brought to justice. We welcome the announcement by the Israeli authorities of a swift investigation,’’ the statement added.
‘’We are extremely concerned about the latest developments which increase the risk of further escalation and we call on all parties to exercise maximum restraint."
