                  15.10.2013, Jews and Society

Last Thursday, the Jewish Community of Irkutsk donated a play room to the cardiology department at the children’s wing of one of the leading local hospitals that treats children, from the age of birth to 18, from the entire region.
The incentive for the project came from one of the community’s members, who donated the play room for the benefit of the region’s children.
During the opening ceremony, attended by the Israeli Immigration Minister, Mrs. Sofia Landver, the room was filled positive energy, lots of smiles. Words can’t describe the joy on the faces of the parents and hospital staff, and of course the children who undergo difficult operations and treatments and truly deserve to be happy.
