Representatives of nineteen national communities gathered in Rostov, Russia, for the “Unity is Strength” festival. The Jewish community was proudly represented by the children of the FJC’s ‘Or Avner’ Jewish school.
The festival, organized by the Rostov International Institute of Economics and Management, presents various national ceremonies, costumes, music, languages and dialects. Each of the national communities presents the culture of its people in song and dance, virtual presentations and theater performances.
The Rostov Jewish community presented a musical show performed by the FJC’s “Or Avner” School and an instrumental Kleizmer duo. A special video about Jewish culture and traditions and of the history of the Jewish community of Rostov on Don, was also presented.
