                  10.01.2013, Israel and the World

Some 4,000 Israelis employed at 92 missions around the world began voting Wednesday for the 19th Knesset, the Israeli parliament.
The first polling station to open was in New Zealand. Overseas voting will conclude in Los Angeles on Friday morning. A total of 10 polling stations are set up in the United States
The Israeli Consulate in New York City, where some 600 individuals were registered to vote, is by far the mission with the largest number of eligible voters.
Only one polling station will be open for Israelis based in Arab countries, in Amman, Jordan. In Cairo, there won’t be a polling station for Israeli voters since most of the country’s personnel left Egypt after the fall of Hosni Mubarak in February 2011.
In Israel, the elections are set for January 22.
