In Florida speech, Mitt Romney criticizes President Obama on Israel
15.01.2012, Israel and the World Speaking in West Palm Beach, Florida, Republican presidential front-runner Mitt Romney on Thursday criticized President Barack Obama for his stance on Israel, telling the crowd that if elected in November he would "stand with our friends."
"This president has found it pretty sensible to be critical of our friends," the former Massachusetts governor said ahead of Florida primary at the end of this month,
"He went to the United Nations and criticized Israel for building settlements. He had nothing to say about Hamas' 20,000 rockets into Israel," he added.
He also pledged to strengthen the nation’s military and to deal with the threat from Iran possessing a nuclear weapon, which he called "the greatest threat that we face globally over the next decade."
