2 injured in explosions in Gaza Strip
27.06.2011, Israel A man and a child were injured Sunday in two explosions in the Gaza Strip, witnesses said.
A child sustained critical injuries when an ordnance exploded in his hands while he was playing outside his home near Khan Younis refugee camp in the southern Gaza Strip, locals said.
The boy was taken to the Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis. Police have opened an investigation into the incident.
Meanwhile a man was injured in the early hours of Sunday morning in blast near Ansar security compound west of Gaza City. He was taken to the Ash-Shifa Hospital in Gaza City.
Locals reported hearing a huge explosion in the area.
