Three people were killed Thursday when a light aircraft crashed in Haifa's airport.
According to initial reports, the plane's engine burst into flames when the aircraft was taking off, causing the crash.
Magen David Adom rescue services reported that the three people were dead at the site of the crash.
Last month, two people died in a similar crash in northern Israel.
A Cessna 172 light aircraft took off from Herziliya airfield, and reported engine failure four kilometers from Rosh Pina, not far from the village of Tuba-Zangariyye.
As it neared the landing strip at 10:00 A.M., the plane crashed, with paramedics reporting that it had completely incinerated on impact.
