The Israel culture center together with TKUMA initiated a new project to research Jewish stetls in Ukraine.
Renata Oslan says the project will look for people with Jewish roots, introduce to them the center programs, find info on people repressed by the Nazis, placing of info on the Internet.
The project will include trips around South-Eastern Unraine, interviewing locals, taking pictures and video of historical places, then publication of the results on the Internet. The project managers are Yan Nikulin and Evgeny Shneider.
One of the major purposes of the project is sharing of human values of the Holocaust victims with young generations.
