The Jewish Community Center Rimon celebrates the First Grade Pupils Day. It is a good sign that school is coming soon. Over 300 people including children, their parents, grandmothers, and grandfathers gathered in the conference room to congratulate the future pupils. Holiday atmosphere, music, and smartly dressed people.
In total, 25 children from the Jewish Community of Almaty will go to school this year. We have prepared 25 school bags with all school supplies to give them to the future pupils as presents. Pupils of older age, clients of the Children Initiative Program, also received school supplies for the beginning of the new academic year.
The most respected members of our community came to meet the kids and inspire them for future success. President of Mitsva Association Mitsva Alexander Baron, "We celebrate the First Grade Pupils Day today. I congratulate you on behalf of the community! Let me introduce the Head of the Regional Representative office of Joint in Kazakhstan Boris Boguslavskiy". "Our Committee works in over 70 countries in the world. We have 180 organizations in the Former Soviet Union countries. We are glad that we can provide charity and cultural assistance here using the funds contributed by U.S. Jews. Children, you will learn a lot in school and in the Jewish Community Center Rimon. Be healthy and happy!"
Chairman of the Jewish Cultural Center Alexander Arepyev, "I congratulate the first-graders, their parents, grandmothers, and grandfathers with the beginning of a new phase in their lives. It won’t be easy at the beginning. But it is a great pleasure to see how our children are growing, lean new things, and develop. Enjoy your future victories together!" Editor of Davar Newspaper Isaak Dvorkin, "They frighten you with the school - don’t listen to them children! Always stay a part of your team. Good luck!"
Finally the future first grade pupils went on stage. All together they recited the poem by Agniya Barto "Why Petya woke up ten times today?" And everything was going on fine until suddenly Baba Yaga and Leshy appeared on the stage, who wanted to prevent the children from going to school. We had to reform them and make them change their mind. As a result the former Baba Yaga, currently an exemplary pupil, was convincing the audience how important the secondary education was.
Children from the Jewish Community center Rimon showed a very nice concert. Our favorite songs were translated to Hebrew and sang by our children on the stage.
The community is taking a good care of its children. It is evident in many ways. We are developing our children in accordance with the Jewish traditions. I am sure that even being busy at school our children will still love to come to Rimon, our common home.
