Baron Edouard de Rothschild, a French businessman who is the main shareholder of the left-wing French newspaper Libération, has decided to move to Israel.
According to the Yediot Aharonot newspaper, he will maintain his businesses in France and will live part time at his home in Tel Aviv.
He is to meet with Israeli President Shimon Peres at his home in Jerusalem on Tuesday, the newspaper reports.
Edouard de Rothschild, who is the son of Guy de Rothschild, the former president of the Rotschild & Cie bank, has a fortune worth some 300 million euros.
The Rothschild family contributed financially to the founding of the state of Israel at the start of the 20th century.
