Two Israel Air Force CH-53 Yasur helicopters made emergency landings on Tuesday morning in Romania, where an Israeli aircraft of the same type crashed a week ago, killing seven.
The military said in a statement that no crew members were injured in the landings and that one of the helicopters was undergoing repairs at a Romanian military base.
Both helicopters are expected to return to Israel on Wednesday.
An IDF spokesman said a faulty indicator light had prompted the emergency landings and that the problem was not serious.
The helicopters were returning to Israel from a joint military exercise with Romania.
Last Monday, an IAF CH-53 helicopter crashed during the exercise, killing six Israeli servicemen and a Romanian liaison officer.
Seven IAF CH-53 helicopters took part in the joint military exercise. Three returned to Israel last Thursday.
The flight from Romania to Israel takes 10 hours for a CH-53 to complete and requires two in-flight refuelings.
An IAF C-130 Hercules transport plane flew from Israel to Romania on Tuesday morning to collect equipment used during the exercise.
