Dutch opposition politician Geert Wilders criticized US president Barack Obama for not vetoing the UN Security Council resolution against Israeli settlements on Friday as he encouraged Israel to ignore the resolution and build ''more and more settlements.''

Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has summoned US Ambassador to Israel Daniel Shapiro for talks, two days after Washington abstained rather using its veto during of a vote of a resolution in the UN Security Council calling for an end to Israeli settlement building.

Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has instructed the foreign ministry to summon the ambassadors of the 12 countries in the Security Council with whom Israel has diplomatic ties for a talk in which Netanyahu was expected to reprimand them over the resolution.

Netanyahu recalls ambassadors to New Zealand and Senegal, stopping aid to the West African nation, and mulling cutting ties with UN agencies operating in Israel. He also cancels planned visit of Ukraine's prime minister to Israel.

The US didn’t veto a resolution whih was adopted in the United Nations Security Council condemns Israeli settlement activity as ‘’illegal’’, and demands that Israel "immediately and completely cease all settlement activities in the '’occupied'’ Palestinian territory, including east Jerusalem".

A resolution against Israeli settlements that Egypt intended to submit to the United Nations Security Council was withdrawn US just over an hour after President-elect Donald Trump said the US should veto it.

Leaders of the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations have called on the United States to “unequivocally affirm” that it would veto any one-sided condemnatory United Nations Security Council resolution on the Palestinian-Israeli issue if it is presented Thursday to the Council for a vote.
