Jewish groups dealing with European affairs warmly welcomed the election of Italian Antonio Tajani as President of the European Parliament.

The offices of the Mission of Israel to NATO in Brussels have been officially inaugurated by NATO’s Deputy Secretary General Rose Gottemoeller and Israel's Ambassador to the EU and NATO, Aharon Leshno-Yaar.

The head of the Brussels-based European Jewish Association (EJA) Rabbi Menachem Margolin - which represents thousands of Jews from communities across Europe – welcomed the election of Italian MEP Antonio Tajani as the new President of the European Parliament, urging him to devote time and resources properly to tackle anti-Semitism.
